People today often forget that for thousands of years we produced our own currency. If there was a need for furs you went hunting and changed the fur for a knife, then you went to the river and sifted the sand to find gold that you used for wheat. At one point, some tricksters came and said: "Take these coins of ours and use them among yourselves because it's easier that way." Then they devalued the coins from precious metals, then replaced them with worthless paper on which was written "Trust me, bro!". It's no wonder that while innovation, technology, industrialization and automation have made things a lot easier, we still have to work hard to gain less and less purchasing power. The game is rigged, the economic system is based on consumption.
Money Supply x Velocity = price/inflation x real GDP
which means that if you save, velocity goes down which means inflation and gdp go down OR the central banks go full QE = bigger prices AND economic growth 😂
Conversely, in case of BTC, MS+V is constant which means 0 inflation and 0 growth based on the ancient paradigm of eternal growth.
That's why #BTC cannot exist for real as a unit of exchange/trade as long as it is quantified in fiat currency.

As of 2024, there are roughly 19.45 million Bitcoin mined. The distribution of these coins is highly uneven:
•Top 0.01% of Bitcoin addresses hold 27% of all Bitcoin.
•Top 0.1% of addresses control approximately 60% of Bitcoin.
•Top 1% of addresses hold roughly 90% of the Bitcoin supplly
According to the most recent on-chain data, the BTC distribution is as follows:
Whales (1,000+ BTC): These addresses control 42% of Bitcoin supply. There are around 2,000 such addresses.
Humpbacks (10,000+ BTC): A few hundred addresses belong to exchanges or institutional investors, holding a combined 10%+ of supply.
Large Fish (100-1,000 BTC): These wallets hold around 20% of supply.
Retail Investors (0.1 - 10 BTC): The bulk of addresses fall within this range, but they collectively hold less than 10% of the Bitcoin supply.
Dust wallets (under 0.001 BTC): These small wallets make up the majority of addresses but hold a minuscule amount of BTC.
So, I think it's clear as of today that Bitcoin is highly uneven distributed, just like fiat money.
If we assume that there will be a shift from the Whales towards the smaller wallets (because it represent the bulk of BTC addresses/and humans owning them) then what makes you think that the Whales won't use the BTC they own to amass more BTC from the other categories?

The current economic system benefits those who consume in excess (compared to what they work/produce) like John who traveled to 10 countries this year on a loan and penalizes (by adding the burden of society's spendings on their shoulders) those who save/consume less (than they work/produce) like Mike who spent only what he produced and didn't take a loan to afford what he can't. This way, both John & Mike are forced to continue working but only Mike consuming more of the human and natural resources available.
Why would you save money and why wouldn't you take unsustainable loans?!

so you assume that let's say those 1% of BTC owners who own say...25% of total bitcoins will lose their btc to the masses because they won't be able to keep up with production? because as far as I understand, the more currency you have, the more you are able to buy those who produce, thus increase your production without you, physically produce something?

partially agreed that in time, in the absence of any value production from those who now own many BTC will start to be redistributed according to production of each individual BUT still, isn't the current amount of BTC owned by a few allowing them to build a new world in such way that they will never run out of BTC (of most of BTC) just like it happened with the gold coins, gradually eliminated so that the gold end up in the same hands? For instance, if I had 10000 BTC, meaning what? $570.000.000, I would make sure that if I give those sats to others, they will come back ten folds to me...so no equity here...

I think that resembles communism, house, food and transport is 75% of the average person and for the majority is the real goal in life. A fair UBI would reflect how much you contributed with your existence to the overall economy and that can only be your life. It is normal for a 18 y.o person to get a XX UBI while a 36 y.o person to get a 2x XX amount as the contributions are different. Also, the taxation should reflect the amount of consumption from the natural resources of each individual. For instance, a 18yo guy might be taxed way less than a 36 y.o guy who lives a luxurious life...
Either way, the totality of our time on Earth is finite and "inflation" comes only if the population is growing thus more production and consumption.

#Cantillion Effect on #bitcoin.
Cantillion said that "the closer you are to the newly created money, the less inflation you get on the price of goods and services which allows you to buy more and cheaper. By the time those goods & services reach the masses, the real end-user, they have been subjected to the inflation caused by the aquisition of those goods by the wealthy class.
So...if you bought #BTC at $60000 it is because there were "a few" who spotted the opportunity when it was $1000 and bought just to sell it further to you more expensive.
However, thee real #Cantillion Effect was when those who bought #bitcoin for less than $1 sold it for $1000 to those who thought they were "early adopters" of a new tech.
Now, who are those who "bought cheap" at $1/BTC ? Let's discuss!

An #UBI for everyone might sound good for the masses but an UBI in the CURRENT fiat system is nothing but #dependency and #slavery.
An UBI should be given as an alternative currency to fiat money, equally distributed and correlated to the only finite resource a human has which is #time.
The problem with #bitcoin is that it is already unequally distributed with a few owning a big chunk and the rest owning small portions.
Each crisis is an opportunity to rearrange things but if we rearrange them starting from the same principle of fiat money, the only real change will be the group who leads the destiny of the majority.
