I'm a rather large blobby and cuddly frog that has recently moved into blob.cat. 🐸😅

But really.. I'm a Danish guy in my 40s. I'm a geek, a techie, and in the past I was an aspiring scientist in the field of astronomy. Also w/ background in electrical engineering.

Interests are varied, and include, but are not limited to: Political+Economy, Psychology, Military+History, Philosophy+Ethics , and of course computer gaming (oldschool) etc.

I /generally/ don't take things too seriously (as your blobfrog I would advise you not to do so, either 🤪), and I try to enable an honest debate+get along with others (even if I don't agree with them on everything) - except those that make it a chosen lifestyle to not get along with others. Another day, another subtly self-congratulatory person on fediverse that tries to do away with a basic notion of toleration by playing word-games on Poppers so-called "Paradox of Tolerance".
Understand that most of these people have not actually read Popper (apart from that tragically distorted 'infocomic' that has floated around social media for better part of a decade) and besides, utterly fail to think two steps ahead in that abandoning a general principle of toleration in society would result in that our communities being put to the torch by hand hands of extremists (of whatever stripe) and resulting in revenge actions and blood-feuds that would never cease.
But... perhaps that is really what these 'paragons of tolerance' do want?

"We're basing/training our technology on all the written works, all articles, every blog post you silly humans have put out there on the internet for years, and we're reaping private economic benefit from it, at least one Gigabux from Microsoft tee-hee. In this instance, using #copyright law creatively to cause a specific company to self-combust doesn't seem like such a bad idea.
