Omg! My daughter in college sent me this photo taken outside someone's office!!!
After JUST saying I never see evidence of covid-cautiousness IRL, it's SOOOO uplifting to see this sign out in the wild!! ❤️

Over the weekend I filled out my #VoteByMail ballot & returned it via drop box to avoid any mail-related delays. 🗳💪
#MA has an online ballot tracking system, so today I confirmed my ballot has been accepted!

My teacher husband - the only consistent masker in his school - says he's never seen so many masked teachers before. 😷 There's no climate of covid-consciousness, so we suspect the masked teachers are all sick. 🤒 With covid? 😬 Who knows. 🤷🏻‍♀️
But I maintain that people who choose to temporarily #MaskUp when sick only do so because covid-cautious lone maskers have helped to normalize masking. Our masking protects us AND is a public service encouraging/supporting others who mask!

I am SO EXCITED about switching our home heating & cooling system from oil & traditional A/C to #geothermal!!
I know that solving the #ClimateCrisis requires immense at-scale commitment to #sustainability, but that doesn't negate my agency as an individual to do whatever I can to help, however small.

REALLY tired of people saying, "Why are you still worried about covid? It's endemic."
"Endemic" does NOT mean "harmless & without risk".
It DOES mean "here to stay" which means the RISKS of covid are here to stay, which means we're all living with a HIGHER baseline of risk which means governments & institutions & people should be making PERMANENT changes that address that risk.
I curse the journalists & "let it rip" "experts" that made people think "endemic" = "harmless".

This is exactly how it is and I get SO ANGRY when people say "Oh, kids are so anxious today because of social media and over-parenting and 'safe spaces', they just need to be more resilient" and COMPLETELY ignore the very real effects of school shootings, police brutality, climate crisis, increased fascism, loss of bodily autonomy. Who WOULDN'T be anxious growing up now?!?
