Reading some stuff about the Armenian Genocide (because I have made a comment about Jury Nullfication and that lead to the trial of the assassination of Talaat Pasha) and I feel fucking sad and fucking tired: the German foreign office knew about the Armeninan Genocide, and they didn't allow Walter Rössler to testify for the shame that it would bring them to be known that they knew. There was no doubt that what was done to the Armenians was monstruous, and yet, 21 years later…

Unpopular take: when people say that a satire of fascism is badly made because the fascists don't feel ashamed or ridiculed by such satire work, they are missing the point completely; any satire of fascism will (usually) point at the ridiculousness and horror of those fascist beliefs, but you cannot ridicule or shame fascists based on that not because how the satire is made, but because the fascists embrace that horror. They want to be horrible and ridiculous people.

@npub1psd…9sr7 @npub1hyk…3p33 I feel like that thing will have an (unnecessary) internet connection, but, as a concept, it doesn't seem like a bad idea to me, if you could attach a reflection colorimeter (filtered for the emission of the heating resistances) to get the perfect point of the toast.
