1. I’m starting to travel more regularly. Bitcoin is already my reserve currency, which I also use to pay for local goods. It’s efficient.
2. Backup is a wise card that I bulk convert to a currency when I land and use like a local.
3. No need for anything else. Fractional reserve is becoming foreign to me. It’s strange how fast I’ve normalised to this way of living.

1. A bitcoin debit card that works for me, is one that stores it only as bitcoin and converts at point of purchase, as a payment rail.
2. I would only keep 1 week expenses on it, if it’s custodial.
3. The cash back is to just cover the annual maintenance fee, so note the minimum monthly spend required, fits with actual expenses.
4. From what I see, it’s much cheaper than bitrefill, so far.
5. Freedom is providing the optionality for merchant to receive in fiat or lightning, and for me to make payment in Bitcoin only.

How does a founder who has spent last 10 years on a platform based marketplace transition to value4value reality, within the company.
1. Instead of observing valuation of the company, observe valuation of bitcoin vs prices of goods / other denominator instead.
- This would require moving a tiny percentage at first on bitcoin hodl, whatever it can afford - USD1 or 10,000, to have skin in the game.
- On approach by new investors who want to invest in company, pass them a deck of bitcoin instead.
- Look at options to buy back shares, so that it can move towards some form of DAO.
- Keep company small, 20 to 30 team size.

- in my residency, there is no strike or crypto debit cards allowed, unfortunately. You’re allowed to have your wits, that’s about it.
- the company Im at has a concierge programme, where I list my recurring bills and they pay it off for me, and transfer the rest as Bitcoin to me. It helps a lot.

Now that I receive salary in bitcoin, how to navigate short term votality, when need to purchase essential goods that are quasi pegged to local fiat.
I’m running a small experiment.
Step 1: set a bottom and top line for Btc/usd, based on a variance rate from when received salary in btc. In between this range, use Bitcoin to pay for expenses.
Step 2: when below bottom line, use fiat credit card only. When above top line, use Bitcoin to pay off fiat card debt and continue to use Bitcoin as normal for expenses.
Step 3: automate so don’t have to think about it.

I was a developer, until i found a tech startup 10 years ago.
I stayed in dormitories in singapore as I went through a 3 months accelerator program (yes, there were bed bugs and loud snoring).
Here i conditioned and trained to pitch to investors, and hustle to first 100 paying customers.
Everyday was intense, i was only single founder.
Demo Day pitched to international investors and raised my first round of funding.
Two things:
1. The valley definition of pitching and hustling, is defined as shilling in the pleb community.
The strict adherence is to value for the community, not shareholders. I am re-wiring myself.
2. I raised another 2 seed rounds over the next 5 years with angels. And then stopped completely.
To continue to a Series A would require the expectation of growth at all costs, which is not in-line with my values at the time and now, still.

It’s going to be a big change, a company office occupying several floors in prime spots, chef made lunch, talent getting paid from credit sourced from investors, to keep up with inflation, with valuation based on vanity metrics.
To new smaller non-funded companies, 20 people, iterating on ideas of their competitors delivering value to the community.
Valuation is the capital in Bitcoin, not the company itself. All are shareholders in this.

What seems to be happening is that fiat is draining, so we have to work super hard each month, so that everyone gets paid, before their pay to bills ratio negates.
Deciding not take on debt in a draining fiat, is like passing around a cup of water with holes, without having an external party pour more water than is being drained.

It was a normal payroll day a year ago, I approve payment on the bank app, it shows approved. A day later the funds have not left our acct. It’s stuck and no one is getting paid.

Does it make sense for me to use the compulsory provident fund to pay off my monthly housing loan, rather than using my salary savings.
provident fund dividend rate = 6%.
less Housing loan ~5% interest rate + 4% fiat inflation = 9%
Net loss = -3%.
Based on this logic, it does seem to make sense, for me, to use provident fund's 'concierge' service to pay housing loan repayments directly, leaving salary to be saved into a hard savings store of value, bitcoin.

I was anti bitcoin, anti fiat for years. Just pissed with the fat cats or the grifters shilling fast money at the time around me.
The bears turned up, and the grifters fled. But the philosophers and economists who stayed spoke silently, and I could finally hear them.
I came around to Bitcoin late, but had already spent close to a decade looking for freedom, but only saw 4 walls.
When I realised Bitcoin was the closest match key to the exit door I had missed, I orange pilled, and fell in deep, because the mind was ready.
