@npub1ljl…8fwp quite a few languages are written in “English” (actually Roman) letters. If your primary language is English, you will have to use Google translate or similar to understand them. Understanding the letters is not sufficient to understand the words.

Is not "I choose to do A though doing B would give me more benefits" an example of altruism? I just spent some time clearing ice from the pavement, a real Sisyfos-task this winter. I could have earned good money i front of the computer instead. Satisfaction does not invalidate altruism, or?

Possibly interesting analogy: improved brakes was the technology that gave us faster cars. Before brakes improved, cars could only safely drive 20-ish km/h. Safety measures is very much a necessary part of accelerating technology.

What is "culture" but attempts at thinking together? Which is always necessary and more so in hard times. How to guard those attempts from exploitative misdirection seems like a harder problem when AI is the moderator than when gatekeeping humans could be held to account.
