I think making it easy to seamlessly do it would be awesome. You should just have to post a new comic, and all us cultural people should get to enjoy it. Linking (http) is such an important concept.

@nprofile…8x8h I’ve rejected big social media (and big media) due to ethical and moral reasons. Nothing to harp on though, but I think it gives nuance to what comes next.
I think social media is absolutely terrible for genuine creators (in a crude sense think art vs get rich), in so many ways. Even though I don’t count myself as a creative (due to a lack of output) I’ve genuinely been thinking a lot about it.
Running the full spiel is a long (and brain dumpy) experience, but I think social media tends to focus on “this one type of social media” and then try to shove everything into that square hole. With a reaction to lobby or acquire if that is threatened.
I’d love to see small (my favorite size) creators get a media that works for them. Where it’s not about gaining followers the way ads tried to get views, but giving creators a proper *space* that’s separate for social media and instead integrates with it. So it’s about connecting people who want the creations with the creation.
I can talk a lot more about it, but only on demand:)

But all I can say, is that I think we need to be somewhere where we have a voice at all, and where we can try to make the best out of it, together.

Totally know the feeling. Sometimes one has to be in the right frame of mind to do certain things.
But I’ll tell you, 3 has one insane high that catapulted it into being my favorite. If you play it I bet you can pick it out :)

@nprofile…8x8h From very goofy to one of the saddest episodes I’ve seen in years to bonkers to heartfelt to realistic feeling teenagers to insane old school aliens to Japanese folklore to penis jokes.
And the grandma is hilarious :) As well as “turbo”:)
All without going off the rails and becoming some (excuse my expression) artsy weird stuff. It’s still very accessible and recommendable.
Best overall show in a long while.

@nprofile…0kgd I love simple dog shit code though. Because if it’s simple and straight forward I can fix it. That’s good.
Big complex with lots of abstractions and calling frameworks and magic etc. Can’t follow any of that and have to spend a ton of time to learn it. (And secret, designing a calling framework is super difficult and 99% of them are awful in the end.)
I prefer simple, and reuse by composition and called frameworks. Everything does what it says it does, and if something is broken I can easily fix it or rewrite it. Not locked in.
(Can’t remember if it’s a me-ism or a general thing. But a calling framework calls you. So like a web server, you provide callbacks that do stuff.
A called library is just stuff you call. Like functions or classes. Like a math library:))

I find that the people most obsessed by some aspect of programming (DRY, clean code, abstractions, everything is a framework, etc) write the worst code in the end.
Imho the less time you spend to get things done, and the less time to need to spend to fixing it, the better.
I really should play some with godot. I don’t think anything will come out of it, but maybe I can enjoy it for a bit :)

I think the usefulness of get/setters really boils down to the language and language philosophies. Every time I see it in go I just sigh, but in other languages/settings it makes perfect sense :)

NOA is bizarrely bad at merch in so many ways. I would buy a ton more if they had it.
(And many Zelda lovers will find me insane, but I’m hoping for remakes of those two. I can’t handle N64 controls (and worse, cameras). I’ve tried. I have multiple versions of both games and have tried to play them. But the controls/cameras let me down. :( So a remake would make it much more likely I’d finish them:))
