I spent the last several days in IA and I can say the people are nice. However, they are fearful of losing the things they have and the life they live. Hence their belief in the #GOP. They like their white life. They don’t want it to change. Climate change is a threat so they will stay on the side of not believing it and hope it will go away. Mythical high crime rates threaten their world so they will be strong against crime. The world is black and white anything contrary will not be tolerated

This is one of the many problems with the #GOP. The #world and #life is more #complex than this. It is #nuanced and requires #abstract thinking, something the #GOP is unable to do.

The problem with Mike Johnson & his twisted view is his god created this perfect image of humans. His perfect fantasy image. He & his ilk are firmly committed to another world not this world. This world/earth is just a way station in their minds. The brain washing is extreme. Their beliefs are black & white. Their is no gray hence no gay, no intersex, no ppl of color, no science. Their compass is faulty. Their belief they were created in a fantasized perfect image by a perfect shaman is flawed.

The Evangelical/dominionist Christians view the climate challenges we are facing as a fulfillment of end of times as predicted by their deity in their fantasy book. Therefore, they are not going to do anything to try and ameliorate the challenges we face. There r two reasons why they are not going to do anything. Their all knowing deity would send them to hell if they challenged the plan. And two bc their deity foretold this would happen who r they to challenge the deity. Pence is one of these

Republicans are not concerned w truth or the rule of law.
