@npub18yv…xxyn the problem with right-wing politics: it's so often not about facts, but about the ~narrative~. it doesn't need to be true, it just has to sound right. it doesn't need to be consistent, it just has to feel right - "common sense"
that's IMO why it's so hard to argue with some people - their arguments are not based on logic, but on vibes - and you can't argue with those, because if you do, you're saying "what you're feeling isn't real", and at that point, you've already lost

so ... let's say, hypothetically, I want to get *out* of the business of self-hosting stuff / running my own servers to reduce headaches
most of the stuff that runs on the two small VPSs I have at Linode is not critical, and some of it I have already turned off or replaced
what would still need replacing are my websites and blogs (statically generated with Jekyll, open to moving to something else ... what's good these days? preferably something hosted and open source in the <$10/mo price range

RHEL 10 is planned to drop the *Xorg server* (and some related components), but the *X11 protocol* will still be supported via Xwayland.
I know, it's pedantic, but every time you say something like "distro is dropping X11" it's like the sound of nails on a blackboard for me 😂

5. I pushed another update for #Sequoia #OpenPGP (version 1.16.0), which fixes a handful of parser bugs that could result in crashes caused by out-of-bounds array accesses. All affected applications were rebuilt with the new version. 🕶️
This also included the latest version of sequoia-octopus-librnp, which provides better compatibility with recent versions of #Thunderbird.
Updating sequoia-sq to the latest version is still blocked, because some of the new dependencies have blocking issues 😐
