I have to say, Mastodon 4.3 is a solid upgrade. The UI/UX is hugely improved. Great work, @npub163h…mv0n folks.
Now the theme honours the OS colour scheme, I can probably get rid of the mobile app I use and just use the PWA.

Why is #Apple #Music so fucking shit? I have a "smart" playlist that automatically downloads my playlist to my device, yet it still requires an internet connection to play the songs.
That's not to mention the random times it just decides not to play a song at all.

As a "senior leader" I make decisions all day, every day. That's my job. But do you know what my hardest daily decision is?
It's whether or not to go for a piss before I go to sleep. Do I get out of my nice warm bed now and do my "final wee", or do I stay comfy and run the gauntlet of potentially needing a piss in the night?

That doesn’t surprise me as they’re made to a budget. I’d upgrade to something more substantial, like a baby G, or one of the Casios SKXMod support and get a metal case. For $100 you’ll have a watch that will last forever.

I’ve run Matomo in the past. It’s way more than I need and is a very heavy application. I’ve setup GoatCounter, gonna see how that goes for a few days in terms of tracking referring sites. If it’s of little value, I’ll get rid.

I've been looking at #analytics providers, and I don't get why they limit on pageview numbers. It's so arbitrary.
Like, it's double the price for the difference between 10k and 100k visits, but we're actually just talking about a couple more MB of data in a database somewhere.
It's bollocks. Why can't there be a provider that's like "yeah, it's $5/m for whatever visits you get. It's all the same to us."
(there may be a such a provider, but I'm not aware of them)

Yeah agreed. These are so cheap that spare parts are rare. I’d say either get a new one (eww plastic waste 😞) or a second hand one from eBay so then you have some spares.
My advice would be to upgrade to a baby G - they’re more expensive, but much more robust. You shouldn’t need to repair it, but spares do tend to be available for them.

I setup my notes to default to the current date/time (which can be edited after creation). It’s far less friction as Kirby doesn’t ask me for a title when I start a new note. If you want the code, lemme know.

I’ve been considering what next when my current crop of hardware dies (M1 MBA, iPhone 13 mini & iPad Air) I’m not sure I’m happy replacing any of it with the Apple tax, but MacOS is great and has no ads. Linux still has its gremlins that need fixing/workarounds and I have no interest in that. That’s why I stopped using it in the first place.
