Obsidian. Hard, more than razor sharp, black. I would take the obsidian blade of night to reference harsh, black loneliness, even despair, @npub1dsd…l2mp.
Yet, you find a form of sacred companionship, passion (fire) filled, to dispel that. The cold numbness is replaced, at which point you realise, it was the void of night, though painful, which shredded your defences (flayed) before that altar.

Stars, here, in the astrological sense, I take it, @npub1dsd…l2mp. Whether this is a kind, a malevolent, or an uncomprehending, mechanistic fate, is an unanswered question.
Does such a worldview require a belief in purpose? Probably not, necessarily, but I can see how it would move that way. I sense a certain confusion in this, though.

Roses are symbols, traditionally, of passion if red, purity if white.
Either way - and both may be appropriate imagery, @npub1dsd…l2mp, they are both planted and grow wild. This suggests someone casting seed that then grows without hindrance. The reference to a dark sepulchre suggests you assess your heart as having been barren - as if all emotion was dead, withered.
So, you are referencing someone re-igniting emotion that now is unhindered and uncontrolled in its growth, I think.
Not that I believe, for one moment, that your heart was so very dark and dead.

There is remarkable power in this one, @npub1dsd…l2mp .
The sense is entirely one of a "reality of dream." The description of the sunset, the light and landscapes are heightened, as if you are rendered hyper-sensitive. These trump the rain and the gloom - night of this world giving way to a reality beyond physical sense.
You ache "toward the east" - usually a place of sunrise, and a place of awakening for you, it seems. But equally, a place where the person of whom you speak may well be sleeping already. Dreaming you awake suggests almost being dragged into that other's dream, like a shared consciousness. The "ache" indicates you wish to be there
In other words, you seem to be speaking of a deeply felt unity, and a desire to experience that as a reality, even if (shared) dreams are all that is possible or available

Epitaphs are for the dead. Memorials. An unwritten epitaph, then, is something understood, a recollection for something that is gone. Some part of your life you thought had ceased, emotions that you thought had died, @npub1dsd…l2mp ?
But the epitaph drowns "in every breath." Then, that which was thought dead must have been revived, and the memorial, itself, become redundant as a result.
Every breath "we take" indicates some shared experience. The effect of this other person - the "touch", being the revival that you experience. "Dares death to wake" suggests a challenge. Perhaps reviving something you had, in some way, put into a metaphorical grave, and now you feel challenged to experience once more?

Last night's poems, @npub1dsd…l2mp - at least, from my standpoint and time zone.
I'm used to you writing two poems that, read together, become one. Now, you have done four...!
In the first, a hand, in mysterious twilight, stems the metaphorical bleeding of your wounded, emotional heart. Next, you proceed into night, sleep becoming a metaphor for death before dawn's rebirth. You wonder if the experiences left behind, or to come, have meaning, seeing them as fragments of nothingness. Thirdly, the wonder worker - I assume the one who stemmed the flow of lifeblood at the beginning - brings healing, that one's love giving you the life of starfire. It seems, then, there is meaning to your existence. Your conclusion? You return to twilight. That same thaumaturge hides you in the darkness, but, in offerring worship, perhaps exalts you in seeing a light in you of which you are hardly aware. The light, maybe, that one has given you in the third poem.
You are exquisitely romantic in the thread that runs through these four.

Time bears us all on, as surfers on a cosmic wave, onward, ever, to whatever awaits us.
It is axiomatic that there is no going back - though I have read some suggestions that time travel to the past is theoretically possible. Which always makes me smile. If that is admitted, then, in the past, the future exists - and our, ever changing, present is only the past in some great causative surge.
So, what do you feel, @npub1dsd…l2mp? The pull away from what was, from what is now, or into something further and beyond?

It is the spaces, the voids, that give meaning to the words, @npub1dsd…l2mp . In the same way as there must be a pause between the tides of the breath, and even at the turning of the tides of the ocean. A gap between each heartbeat.
The spaces are not empty. They give form.
But to be a space between the unsaid words? The space between spaces? The void between thought and emotion? That which gives form to hidden desire?

The tomb is the ultimate prison. This could be a physical place, but I think not.
Your own barriers, then? Fears, anxieties?
If so, this is a plea for the ultimate reassurance. What of "Death"? If you are alive in this tomb, then it is a form of living death you experience. The trade, then, is the internalising of the positive emotion and experience of the intervention of the person of whom you speak, in exchange for consigning pain to oblivion.
