Hmm #Minecraft in the #Windows11 environment in #QEMU actually chokes pretty heavily. Seems like this is due to its inability to access my GPU.
Frankly, I think this means I’ll be switching back to booting into #Windows11 and ditching #Linux / #ZorinOS. I’m sure that I can probably mess around and get #Minecraft to run in #Linux, but for stuff like the #HaloMasterChiefCollection, it probably won’t run at all without GPU access, and that’s a dealbreaker for me.
It sucks because I was really looking forward to running #Linux full-time, but it seems like the “gaming works on #Linux” pitch I was sold was at least partially bunk.
But, hey, if I have a computer in the future that I don’t plan on gaming on, I’ll still throw #Linux on it. My tests today have proven that pretty much everything except for gaming can be done on #Linux.
