I hope to never have to cut a tree larger than this one. It was one of my favorite trees on the property, but sadly was dying over the past few years. It stood as the tallest tree at the highest point on the property.

Talking Rothbard and Bitcoin to coworkers, they look at me and say I'm really good at articulating this stuff and I should do it more.
I don't think I could possibly talk about this stuff more at the fiat mine than I already do. Every walk, every fantasy football chat, practically every non work related chat I have involves Bitcoin or sound economic principles.

We have registered stock too, so my comment at the end shouldn't be viewed in any critical light towards rev. It's just a fact. Black market producers don't care about governance so they could easily produce superior stock over animals with paper. This is often how new breeds end up forming.
Personally, I think black market genetics will be in higher demand in the future over registered livestock, which can more easily become "KYC livestock"

I woke up committed to doing something uncomfortable today. I'm putting myself out there to let the world know I'm interested in employment opportunities in the Bitcoin space. I’ve been searching for a while, but I’m ready to ramp it up, mix it up and see what happens with the social capital I've been building here on nostr...
This is hard and uncomfortable because I hate talking about me. I prefer doing, building, creating, and occasionally writing (people at work say I'm good at it 🤷). But one of the most important things Bitcoin teaches us is that doing the hard thing is often the right thing, so lets see where this goes.
My experience feels like it borders on irrelevant for Bitcoin at times, but if I’ve proven one thing throughout my career it is that I’m adaptable and learn quickly. I didn't know anything when I started working—I barely knew how to get to the CLI 🖥️. I have a degree that supposedly claims I'm capable of learning, but being a bitcoiner is the real truth to that. I tend to gravitate towards leadership positions once my feet are under me. I lead with a servants mentality and enjoy customer support and leaving people with a smile. I've spent 16+ years in IT doing everything from call center support and tier 1 tickets to desktop and server administration to project management with some team lead and management responsibilities along the way. I've done a lot of educating and guidance both in my career and my interactions surrounding my Bitcoin experience.
I’ve learned quite a bit about Bitcoin and have a broad experience with most aspects to self-sovereignty, self-hosting, and privacy. I don’t claim to be an expert--as soon as you do you get humbled. I love learning and gaining new skills and checking out new, useful tech.
I know what I know and have a good sense of knowing when I don't know--the difference is just the delay in finding the answer. I'm confident I can provide value where ever I go, respectfully I feel I always have. I'm a down in the dirt, get stuff done type--it was instilled in me from birth getting dirt under the fingernails on the farm.
Some personal interests I've been educating myself on and exploring include artificial intelligence, project management, IT service management framework and application analysis and development.

The most important piece of the puzzle with onboarding new nostriches isn't the technical stuff surrounding nostr and the different apps, functions, and features.
It's about creating meaningful, authentic connections with humans. Quickly. Give them a reason to stay, come back, contribute.

I don't own a freeze dryer, but it's near the top of our wish list so I've been learning a lot. The time and energy component is mostly upfront. When consuming it's usually just adding water back in and heating to temp. Storage is usually with mylar bags or otherwise air tight containers and oxygen absorbers.

I'm not super familiar with the cooking method, but gather the food is in direct contact with plastic during cooking temps... Which is a no go in my wife's kitchen.
I suspect silicon will be one of those things decades from now that's found to not be as safe as the claims make it seem.
(I'm not saying don't do this, I don't care what other people do, but considering scientific research is finding micro plastics in our blood, muscle tissues, including heart, and more it's not something I'd recommend personally. We only get one body. Health over wealth.)

I apparently got poison ivy all around my eyes and nose this weekend. I was burning some of it on Friday and thought maybe I inhaled it--i was wearing gloves, so 🤷. Started feeling the effects a little on Saturday. Sunday evening I wanted to take a belt sander to my face.
I initially applied cortisone to relieve the itching, but washed that off and sat for half an hour with my red light therapy device on my face. Same thing yesterday morning and evening, about a half hour each time. I did it again this morning and plan to continue the two a day sessions until resolved. The rash is barely noticeable, I've experienced minimal itching, and while there's still minor swelling I can barely tell it happened.
I don't get poison ivy very bad, but this is the worst I've had since I can remember. I didn't read about red light therapy as a treatment anywhere, but figured I'd give it a shot and have been pleasantly surprised with the results thus far.

I just heard this story first hand from a canvasser. It pretty much sums up why I hate politics.
The canvasser just finished going around to a few houses. Most houses didn't respond/weren't home, some were positive, but one was nasty.
That nasty homeowner also happened to have a sign out stating NO SOLICITORS. The canvasser mentioned that canvassing during election season is not considered soliciting as determined by the courts. SERIOUSLY?! (Talk about rules for my thee but not for me, but I digress)
These people were neighbors of said canvasser. Why would someone act like that to their neighbor? First to ignore their wishes for no solicitation and then spat over the legality.
Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Just because data moved at the same time industrialization happened doesn't equal cause and effect. That's failure to utilize the scientific method. Who compiled the data? Who paid for that data to be compiled? What were their goals? Science is fraught with biases and flat out fraud in all directions. No study is all encompassing and only recently has anyone started paying serious attention to the impact of our sun. If you've been paying attention to the studies that focus on the sun you'll realize pretty quickly that something is changing rapidly to it and that definitely impacts Earth.
If the historical climate activist narrative was true we'd all be dead already, but they don't have a very good track record of being right because they use flawed, biased science.

The IPCC models on climate change still view the sun's impact as a constant, yet we have proven scientific data that says this is not the case. One such example is the sun's approximate 11 year sunspot cycle. The sun also has many much longer cycles that impact temperature, intensity, etc.
Why does the IPCC use constants when the evidence has been proven otherwise? Because it doesn't fit the narrative they are being used by global elites to pedal.
That giant ball of intense heat in the sky is why we have any life on Earth. We should probably pay more attention to that and be less self-centered thinking we are more capable than we likely are at heating an entire planet. Take the power away from "authority" and DYOR.

We started into raising cows last spring. The bank failures led us to move capital into assets we are comfortable with. First steer will be finished either next fall or the following spring, we're in no hurry, low time preference.
Our cattle get pasture, hay, and organic salts, some infused with organic garlic. Any fly issues are treated with a rub on essential oil.
We haven't given any vaccines or medications so far, but considering vaccinating for black leg since it can and has rekt many herds. Tetanus required when castrating.
Otherwise no medicines or grain or anything like that. Our pastures are abundant with forbs and such which cows can choose from according to their needs for self treatment.

Our local ag inspector (and boss) gave us a visit today after two years of silence. They want money all of a sudden for our farm store permit and to perform an inspection.
We've since "closed to the public" thanks to our transition to Bitcoin.
They tried to claim the permit is also required for selling wholes and halves of the animals we offer to our customers--it's not. Nothing like having to educate the regulators on their own regulations.
Our black market presence is going to getting darker.

Cheap, abundant energy is great, but given our time in Earth's history of disaster cycles, the expansion of nuclear couldn't come at a more detrimental time for humanity's long term survival.
Pole shift, solar flares, possible micronova. Natural disasters are only increasing.

The world is entirely too fragile electrically to rely upon anything electronic to store valuable data... Not to mention Moore's Law obsoleting everything we use today within a decade or two.

The lights you see are caused by large explosions on the sun's surface ejecting material into space--called solar flares which hit the Earth within 30 minutes causing all kinds of communications and electrical grid issues (search the Carrington event of 1859) and then a few days later the coronal mass ejection material hits us which is what causes the lights. If you're in an airplane when a major solar flare hits you receive the equivalent of an entire years worth of solar radiation in that instance (ie cancer, damage to your DNA) At scale these explosions could swallow the Earth, sometimes a few times over depending upon size.
They are rated on a scale with X class being the largest. The sun released several X class flares over the past week, which isn't exactly common and solar activity is actually the primary driver of weather on Earth--the reason Milton intensified so quickly if because the sun experienced an X class flare almost every day this past week. The only protection we have on earth from these events is our magnetic field, which is significantly weakening due to pole shift (the N and S poles are moving) and galactic current sheet activity (the effects of this can be seen throughout the planets of our solar system already). With the magnetic shield weakening these sun events are causing more damage on Earth with smaller sizes events.
An X20 or so solar flare could be strong enough to cause a killshot--complete power grid failure for the 25% of the Earth directly facing the sun upon it's release. We've experienced about 3 solar flares this year in the x7-10 range, including back to back 7 and 9s last weekend. Yesterday's CME storm was the highest I've seen since paying attention at KP8, and that was an X1+ flare. When they got back to back is particularly bad because Earth is mostly unprotected from the second wave.
