The highlight for me was @npub1lv7…eyzz attending the Women of Bitcoin side events and coming back so inspired it brought me to tears.

I’m currently reading ‘A Lodging of Wayfaring Men’. Why have I not heard about this book before and why do bitcoiners not mention it more often?
Copies of it used to sell like hotcakes on Silk Road.
It discusses themes of freedom, privacy, and decentralization. It’s a perfect fit for #Nostr and #Bitcoin.
I met an OG bitcoiner a couple of weeks ago that had a few copies in his attic.
Copies are going for £294 on Amazon but we agreed a deal to sell them for just £60.
These are mint condition, some are still shrink wrapped.

I took the top cover off and had a look inside. Not much to it really. Control board and stepper motors.
For the research I’ve done, I can’t trust it for any large amount of funds when it’s a machine that we are sharing.
I listened to the creators of it on this podcast https://fountain.fm/episode/i0uQ6z4CmN3rdGcsQaHx
I like the idea that Stephan suggested about the software having an option to engrave only the multisig wallet descriptor. That way your seed is never exposed to the machine. The descriptor is the hardest part to backup anyway.
That way you could backup your seed separately (which is easy to do and their are many options) and use the engraver to backup the descriptor which I don’t know of any other way to do as easily as this.
I was hoping to get the machine to @npub1dqe…mmgt next as he hasn’t had it yet. But maybe it can go back to him via you if you want to play around with it. It’s just sitting in my garage now.

#Bitcoin is a bigger revolution than the internet. Here’s my shower thought on one reason why.
The transfer of information has seen many revolutionary moments throughout history.
1. Spoke language ➕
2. Written language ➕
3. The printing press ➕
4. The internet ➕
The transfer of value has had:
1. Barter ➕
2. Monetary tokens (salt, glass beads, shells, gold) ➕
3. Fiat ➖
4. Bitcoin ➕
Value transfer therefore never had its ‘Printing press moment’.
Fiat money was a backwards step and human society has progressed despite fiat money not because of it.
I believe humanity is now like a coiled spring.
When enough people understand the potential of #Bitcoin a tipping point will be reached and we’ll see a truly mind blowing renaissance, unlike anything we’ve seen before.
Prepare accordingly.

If you want free speech you have to be able to tolerate what other people say, no matter how hateful or personal their comments are.
You can’t advocate for free speech and in the same statement say ‘what we shouldn’t tolerate…’
