I’m really happy to see this coming together and the community get behind it.
Derek & @npub1hqa…t56s with the support of myself & @npub16c0…6nvr put in a huge effort to get the first “Nostr Booth” done @npub167n…zu3r earlier this year and it was a huge success.
This is chapter 2, and it’s an entire initiative involving:
- 3 conferences in 3 cities over 3 weeks
- 3 full “Nostr days” on the day after each event
- Getting the actual organisers onto Nostr, and have them use it to post updates & activity + encouraging attendees to get on to stay up to date.
- A bunch of cool merch
- Loads of material for @npub1lel…kvyz's new Nostr Film
This is going to be absolutely EPIC, and if you’re reading this, please support. This is a community initiative, which many have contributing to so far, but AFAIK, it’s only 40% of the way there.

True. There’s only one way through hell though - and that’s the keep going.
Nostr UX sucks in comparison to what else is out there. I’m certain @npub15xd…t3l3 1.0 will also suck. But that’s the only way, with limited resources, that we’ll get anywhere. Gotta keep building, iterating, refining.
That being said, I 100% agree that nowhere near enough focus is placed on the user. Right now, it’s all on development. Which may be warranted. I just wonder when the shift begins to happen…

Very good. I did a huge language deep diver a decade ago. The best I ever came across was the “Pimsluer” method. Guy was a genius.
I picked up conversational Spanish in 30 days.
I didn’t continue unfortunately - life gets busy - but I’m sure if I did a whole 90 days, and then stayed in a Spanish speaking place, I would’ve been flying by now. The good thing is; I can understand pretty well, and a lot of that is residue from the Pimsluer stuff I did.
Definitely worth checking out.
