Fuck the stock market. Am I supposed to feel sorry for all the people sitting on 1,000% gains over the past 20 years?? It’s literally been a parabolic hockey stick straight up because of one thing—the money printer. Anyone who thinks this was about innovation or value or investing prowess is deluding themselves. THE MONEY IS BEING DEBASED. And while some of the technological breakthroughs made possible by ZIRP have been amazing, the implementation of these technologies by power hungry oligarchic leaders of these companies have done nothing but suck the humanity out of the common person (mainly by commodifying and harvesting attention as the primary business model). We have become slaves to the technology that was meant to empower and liberate us. So nuke the stock market 90% for all I care. I don’t give a shit about tariffs. I don’t give a shit about interest rates. It’s all financially engineered nonsense built on top of a foundation of sand anyway. Bring back real value, bring back real innovation, bring back the humanity! We must design a new system that works for us instead of against us. /rantover

everybody’s path is different. see where your heart takes you. for me it took reading a lot of ray dalio’s work first to understand the economic importance and then taking an online course through princeton to understand the technical aspects because i felt like i couldn’t buy until i understood how bitcoin actually works. the rabbit hole goes deep so there is much more to it, and i think listening to podcasts are a good way to help you discover new people and ideas

1. go to npub.cash
2. login (nsec login is easiest but keep in mind that copying and pasting your nsec to different places on the internet risks having it leaked/stolen and your account compromised. it’s safer to have your private key in a key manager like alby and then login with nip-07, which you can do with the free version of alby, but this is a whole different topic)
3. create a password
4. claim a username (i think this costs 5000 sats. if you want, you could share the QR code as a comment to this post and I will happily pay it)
5. go to the settings of whatever nostr client you are using (maybe try snort) and copy the username from previous step to the “LN address” field
Boom. you can now receive zaps
Keep in mind that using this method the zaps you receive when you are offline need to be redeemed when you come back online. lmk if you run into any issues
PS i wouldnt keep more than 20,000 sats on this type of wallet personally because it is still a work in progress
As for my nip-05 identifier, I just registered at https://nostrplebs.com/ for a small fee. I believe you can have email sent to that address if you have it enabled, but I don't use it for email

if you’re referring to the wallet activation procedure on the primal app, the lightning wallet is serviced by strike which is a US company subject to KYC laws so email and place of residence is required before you create your wallet. now there are alternatives that do not require KYC that could be set up through other nostr clients. I could help explain how to set it up that way if you want
