There’s something that’s been bothering me for a while.
To some 'Bitcoiners', I’m not 'Bitcoin' enough as if that’s even a real thing. Like being called progressive or feminist is supposed to be an insult. LOL.
And then every time I go back in my hometown, like last night, I get called a conspiracy theorist. Even for talking about the most basic bitcoin stuff (like the fact that dollars is not pegged by gold) 😭 and this happens a looot even on my social media
The truth is that nothing messes with your head like realizing that EVERYTHING you’ve been told about one of the most fundamental things (money) was wrong… and THEN suddenly finding yourself surrounded by people who also question the moon landing and whether sunscreen is even useful 🥲
But let me tell you something.
And I’m saying this to myself too. It’s fine. It’s all fine.
People are always trying to put you in a box. You’re either woke or delusional, feminist or comunist, sheep or lunatic. The financial system is a huge scam yes, but I don't question literally everything else. I drink wine and eat carbs on a daily basic and fuck yeah. The truth is, I live in the middle. And I’m OK with that. I absolutely love my life the way it i.
Being in the middle is what makes me human. It’s what allows me to see nuance. It’s what makes life richer, messier, and full of meaning. Also, I'm surrounded be so many and SO DIFFERENT people, I could never close myself up in my own world or diet.
I don't know in which point you are in this bitcoin journey but don’t be afraid to stand in between. Between two fires, two colors, two truths. Because that’s exactly where things start to make sense.

Last night we had our monthly @nprofile…agtl meetup in Milan, Italy
We used to have a fixed spot for the meetup, a place that accepted Bitcoin but it recently shut down. So we found a new one. It’s this old music shop that’s recently turned into a wine and food bar. Kind of a magical place, actually. Also, the food and wine are.... perfection 🫶
The owner accepts Bitcoin… but he’s not excited about it. He doesn’t really get it, and honestly, it feels like paying him in sats or with Paypal makes zero difference to him. His friend put him place on 'btcmap.org', downloaded him 'Wallet of Satoshi' and I was his first transaction two months ago.
The old bar owner was totally into it, you could feel the vibe. This guy? You get the feeling he’d rather be paid in cash.
SO WHO'S BETTER?
I mean, of course it’s more satisfying to support people who are excited about Bitcoin. They usually give you a smile, sometimes even a discount. But the truth is, Bitcoin is a payment system, not a religion.
It’s not supposed to feel like a revolution for everyone. And if we keep waiting for ideology to win people over, we’ve probably already lost. That’s not how this works.
This guy has no idea how to convert his sats into euros, and I actually told him not to bother. One transaction a month? Just keep them. One day, while his euros buy him half of what they used to, his Bitcoin might quietly be worth more. That’s how you get orange-pilled sometimes, by accident.
In the end, I kind of like this pragmatic approach. Sometimes at conferences I’m overwhelmed by people who changed their friends, their diets, their mindset, everything for Bitcoin… and honestly, I think we’d be better off looking at it with colder eyes. More clarity, less noise.
So let me ask you: Would you pay in Bitcoin at a place where they don’t care about Bitcoin at all, or do you prefer to support only the enthusiasts?

I made a mistake during my Bitcoin lecture last week in the university of Bologna. One I’m not going to repeat. I assumed something. And I shouldn’t have.
Since I was talking about my job, I told the students that a big part of it is debunking myths around Bitcoin...
You know, the usual stuff: Bitcoin is a Ponzi, it’s going to zero, it’s killing the planet. I built like 15 slides for this. I was ready to fight. Ready to debunk every single one of them, one by one.
So I asked them: “What’s something negative you’ve heard about Bitcoin?”
Silence. No one raised their hand. No one mentioned pollution. No one said anything about volatility or scams. These were 22 years old, curious, open-minded, and genuinely there to learn. They didn’t have myths to unlearn.
So there I was, spending the next 20 minutes talking about gas flaring, carbon-negative mining, and all the reasons Bitcoin is not what “they” say it is. But “they,” in this case, didn’t even exist. The only person bringing up those narratives was me.
And that’s when it hit me. All these years in the Bitcoin scene have trained my brain to always be on the defensive. To expect resistance. To anticipate criticism. And that mindset slowly killed a part of the joy I used to feel when I first learned about Bitcoin.
Back then, no one had told me it was bad. I just found it exciting, revolutionary, empowering. My brain wasn’t busy filtering negative takes it was busy being amazed.
That beginner’s energy, that childish awe, that sense of discovering something precious, it’s something I want to reconnect with. I don’t want to be the person who walks into a room full of open minds and immediately starts talking about the bad things people say.
I want to talk about freedom from banks and government, creativity, women empowerment, potential. I’m not saying I’ll stop responding to critics when necessary. But I want to stop assuming that everyone is a critic.
There are way more people out there who are just curious, interested, open to learning, than there are loud contrarians I’ll never change the mind of anyway.
From now on, I want to speak to the curious ones. Not the ghosts in my head.

Maybe the mistake I’ve always made when talking about Bitcoin was saying that the system was broken, like economists were stupid or something.
But it’s not broken. It works perfectly.
It took me a while to realize this.
We live in an era where we can cure once-incurable diseases, send people to Mars, and build AI that simulates human thought. And yet, we can’t ensure that two working adults can afford a stable life?
No, it’s not incompetence. They're not stupid. It’s not bad luck. It’s by design.
The economy isn’t in crisis. It’s just that we’re not at the center of it. It’s engineered to transfer wealth and power upward. The Cantillon Effect isn’t a side effect = it’s the engine of the system.
Money is the source code of power. And as long as it’s arbitrarily created by those who decide who gets it first, every effort within this system is doomed to be extracted.
Bitcoin doesn’t exist to fix anything. It exists to build an alternative outside this rigged game. A system where value isn’t distorted at its creation.
Realizing that the system works perfectly, just not for us, is the first step to opting out.

Bitcoin still has frictions. I wanted to tip a waiter in bitcoin, he happily accepted, but I had to make him download an app. Even the simplest custodial wallet has to be downloaded, it takes time. Busy night at the bar. The boss comes and signals to him that he is wasting time. The app is there but he has to enter the phone no. for verification. The Mediterranean diet is considered the best in the world. it’s not just “food from the Mediterranean sea” but follows specific principles.
Five years ago, I went to the best nutritionist in my town in Italy to learn how to fuel my body properly. I followed her guidance for a year, and it changed my life. I don't follow it everyday now but understanding what we eat and why made all the difference.
I’m 1.75m tall, with a normal weight. A balanced main meal for me includes:
Lunch/Dinner
- 100g of animal protein
- 100g of cooked vegetables (easier to digest but less nutrient-dense)
- 100g of raw vegetables (more nutrients but harder to digest)
- 70-80g of carbs – preferably whole wheat pasta or sourdough bread
2-3 times a week, replace animal protein with legumes, ideally for dinner.
Snacks (mid-morning & afternoon):
- A fruit (great nutrients but high in sugar) + nuts (helps slow sugar absorption and prevent blood sugar spikes).
Breakfast (I prefer sweet options):
- Low-fat yogurt with oats & nuts + fruit or honey OR sourdough bread with homemade sugar-free jam, a protein-rich drink (raw milk, soy milk, almond milk etc)
The key is BALANCE: ensuring all nutrients are present in the right amounts.
TIPS:
- Eat pasta in the evening. Contrary to popular belief, it helps with better sleep. A moderate portion (70-80g) paired with raw veggies first, plus cooked veggies or homemade sauce, makes for an ideal meal.
- Eat the raw veggies before your meal. They aid digestion and help you feel full, reducing overeating.
- Eat slowly. It takes at least 20 minutes for your brain to receive satiety signals. If you feel full while eating, you've ALREADY eaten too much. That's how you get FAT.
- Eat in a calm setting. Avoid standing in front of the fridge or mindlessly snacking. Your body may eat, but if your brain doesn’t register the moment, you won’t feel satisfied and will crave more.
- Don’t sacrifice social life. Restricting yourself too much leads to frustration and bingeing. Choose places with healthier options, like bruschetta with tomatoes or veggie platters instead of chips. Indulging in veggies or fruit isn’t really a "cheat meal."
- Snacks are essential. The real key to weight management is boosting metabolism. Waiting too long between meals leads to cravings and greater fat storage.
- Healthy fats (olive oil & avocado) are great, but better don’t mix them. If you use olive oil, skip the avocado, and vice versa.
- The Mediterranean diet is not just “what people eat in the Mediterranean.” It has clear principles, like those listed above. Don't get confused. You can have a Mediterranean diet everywhere in the world.
- Processed food is what harms you. Even if it's labeled "light," if it has a long list of ingredients, it’s not good. The fewer ingredients, the better.
- What about wine? Like any beverage that isn't water, the less you drink, the better. There’s no strict rule, but wine is definitely a better choice than soda.
- Don’t skip meals or snacks. Eating at regular intervals keeps your metabolism active, preventing energy dips and excessive hunger that can lead to overeating later. A well-balanced meal routine helps your body burn calories more efficiently.
- Pizza? Like any cheat meal, it's totally fine in moderation. Compared to other "cheat meals", it can be made healthier by choosing quality ingredients. As always, what matters most is portion size and what you put on it.
Life is long, and you're building your future. Some diets may give short-term results, but the Mediterranean diet keeps your metabolism active, promotes variety, adapts to changing tastes, and supports social life.

I am unfollowing most bitcoin influencers. I don't need to see how cool bitcoin is lol I already know it. As a community we should encourage critical thinking, not hype. If there are interesting profiles that go beyond beach selfies, tag them below. I want to follow them.

Me and @npub13ve…489d first explored El Salvador more than three years ago because of the bitcoin law.
45 memorable days in bitcoin only, without touching dollars or credit cards.
During our trip we immediately saw many wonders, but also many distortions bordering on the dystopian. People's poor bitcoin education, the government's pounding propaganda, the Chivo wallet (a spyware that no so-called Bitcoin president should ever have proposed to his people).
We have always been very critical of top-down adoption. It is no secret.
And at the same time it is undeniable that the Bitcoin Law was a historic event.
For the same reason today seeing the government of El Salvador kneeling before the God Dollar and the oligarchs of the IMF leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.
Today Bitcoin is no longer legal tender in El Salvador, the news is making the rounds around the world, and the regime media are happily feasting on it. This is also a historical event.
Anyone who denies this or is trying to minimize the consequences of this only shows that they are lobotomized by state propaganda.
It is what it is; you cannot sugarcoat it.
