Speaking from the experiences I made in my circles/culture/language I think the word "bitcoin" is just easier to use and more well known already.
If I tell a nocoiner about a "Satoshi" they usually haven't heard of it before, and it feels kind of weird because its the name of a "Person" rather than a neutral thing. Sounding somewhat Asian makes it even worse for acceptance with more traditional folks as it feels a bit foreign.
Just my vibes, I don't think this will get changed tbh as its years too late, but it would be nice imo.

I think you can also use it in English, depending on what kind of people you trade with. I did some English trades when selling stuff but German definitely increases chances.
Probably also one way to learn German. I often get contacted by very broken German but somehow it still works out as the flow is always the same :D

You can setup a fedimint and use it with the fedi wallet today, works fine. The setup is a bit tricky though as there isn't too much docs yet.
If you want to run it alone as single custodian a cashu mint is easier.
You still have to keep track of how many sats you gave to whom as there are no user accounts. This also means people could scam you by claiming they lost access when they haven't.
Great benefits of these setups for the gifting use case is that you can easily print the ecash on paper and hand it over.

I guess it depends on your preferences, docker is probably easier to manage (updating, restarting etc..) than native. I run bitcoind native and some services using it in docker containers.

I don't think they are more of an attack vector than regular notes, just unfollow npubs abusing them. One could also publish annoying gibberish as regular note, where is the difference?
Edits are often useful, you just really can rely on everyone seeing your root post also seeing the edits which makes them a bit confusing for users new to the Nostr concept.

Not sure what you tested, but in case you missed it, electrum has built in support for submarine swaps too, so you don't even have to use boltz.
On master there is even an integration of swap coordination over Nostr (providers can announce themselves on Nostr)

The problem would still be that someone has to seed the torrents. Maybe it'd be possible to build a torrent client that signals he has the file available but only seeds it is paid for. Would be cool to have an incentive for seeding but still keeping the unmodified bittorrent protocol below for compatibility. This way infrastructure could emerge by itself mhh

I think the concept would work better for large creators/influencers/movies but for small creators without seeding followers or paying for seeding it wouldn't work so well

Yeah that's what I thought, but maybe it would be possible to build clients that cache the last X videos and seed them while tab is open.
Another solution I could imagine people offering high bandwith seeding of torrents creators could pay for, maybe as DVM.
You upload a video, pay 1000sats for seeding in Europe + US for 30days. Then hopefully it should have enough natural seeders. You think this would work?
Nice thing with torrents is they are so interoperable so everyone can offer seeding etc. no special APIs or closed providers.

When trying to replace YouTube, would streaming with Bittorrent make technical sense?
I imagine a bittorrent based streaming client, with nostr discovery, would be the only thing that could scale while being censorship resistant and offer good UX/speed?
Probably not the best for small creators with only themselves seeding, but if 100 subscribers seed a video I imagine it could be fast.
