Relatively simple. Apple forces all nfc data from active terminals (even if the terminal explicitly communicates it want to be passively read) to Apple wallet, which doesn’t support Lightning/Bitcoin, yet.
They are forced now to open this up due to lawsuits, so hopefully soon, we will be able to get the full Apple ecosystem onto Lightning.

This is ok. We always knew that high fees would come, which is why we built Lightning.
Most people don’t need to open/close channels more than once a year, the stabler Lightning implementations become the less you’ll need to close channels.
If you think this is a problem you are deluded. If you use a credit card you have more fees per month than a node costs in a year. Just because you don’t see it on your credit card statement doesn’t mean you don’t pay it.

That’s not true. Most European countries either do or have such extensive regulations to force you to Switzerland who do.
On top of that several tools that have nothing to do with KYC use signed messages, Amboss, nostr.directory…
You cannot make incompatible code to take a feature out unless you want to split the chain.
The only way to get rid of it os by creating something better. Teleporting Bitcoin for example will make KYC by signing irrelevant.

-Landing rockets
-EVs that are better than any gas car
-Self Driving in 90% of situations with no premapping nor lidar nor radar.

No, Monero is not cash at all. It doesn’t solve the problems that a cash needs to solve, Monero is unauditable, Inflation bugs are undetectable.
This is why Satoshi built Bitcoin the way he built it. If you think Monero is cash, you say satoshi was an idiot, since he was very much aware of the options Monero choose, but purposely didn’t use because he knew why previous eCash systems failed.
If you understood how great the breakthrough of Bitcoin is, you’d be working on Lightning and not Monero.

Simplest idea I have is creating a master nsec that you can safeguard and derive normal nsec from.

If you zap from your main wallet, you have a giant security issue and should fix that first, before thinking about privacy.
Custodial wallets are a good solution for zaps.
Else use a Lnbits wallet on a 1 buck a month vps plus a vpn tunnel.
