Listening to external requirements, ideas, compaints is needed, if you are creating a product for others and not only for yourself.
How to discriminate what to approve is wisdom, experience and product vision (maybe you are targeting *other* users). But just watching to the numbers/frequency usually is a good start.

Coracle and Voyage have WoT, for sure.
Many personal relays offer WoT.
@npub1kpt…nhmz is working on Pagerank, via DVM.
Other clients, like Gossip, have other antispam strategies (NIP-05 check, first-seen check, etc).
I use many clients with my WoT relay (https://github.com/dtonon/chronicle) and I barely see any spam.
A famous profile that want to start with Nostr should have (minimal) resources to set up a good enviroment.

This has a mirror point of view: many developers have a way of working that excessively focuses on abstract details (refactoring, optimization, obscure edge cases, niche features) which in the end often simply means staying in their own really technical comfort zone, procrastinating the shipping of a truly functional product.
I think the solution is simply integrating competencies, investing 80% of your time on the core skills and spending 20% on collateral ones. Improve the variety of your skills and put yourself in others' shoes. This 20% permits overlapping others' core skills, creating a valuable collaboration.
And finally, don't forget to listen to the end users.

I'm noticing an interesting thing. Three years ago I used to beg developers to add an "only root notes" option for the main feed, to reduce noise and help surface meaningful content. Today, often my "replies" feed is more interesting than the main one.
This is a good thing; it means that real conversations are taking place and Nostr is not only a "shout and run away" board.
Discoverability and UX needs can change fast in a new and evolving environment, so don't take them for granted.
Some proposals for the next three years, related to the microblogging world:
- Add a section that shows the most active conversation in the last X hours, using reply count and the number of users:
- Add a section that shows the deepest conversations in the last X hours, evaluating the total length of produced content and the average length of the replies;
- Add a section that shows the most enthusiastic conversations, summing up reactions and zaps of all the replies;
- Add a section that shows only notes from new users and users who have not been active for a long time;
All these ideas should be easily doable locally, without any DVM or AI.

The relay is primarily important for the group creator, that should be aware of what he is picking up, or what he decides to self host. Final users just want to focus on the content.
Here we are talking about a specific use case for NIP-29: create a personal and branded community.
If I join my hamster group, I don't care to see a dropdown with random servers or rooms about other topics, I just want to focus on my little friends.
The only server I want to see is the group's one, that in the best case should match the website and so the related NIP-29 client.
The current state of Chachi / Flotilla is more like a IRC client, it's absolutely fine for many users and needs, but it's conceptually a totally different tool.
The good news is that with very little additional effort, the clients we are talking about can serve both solutions.

You know, I'm for advertising the relay concept as much as possibile, but sometimes we have to choose a priority. Someone who is searching for a new home for their group is not left with nothing, but with a clear path on how to build that home.

I also was thinking about that to facilitate the custom setup.
Embedding Chaci/Flotilla in a khatru relay is really easy; at the end you just deploy a single binary with an config file and maybe some assets (about page, logo, etc) to hot overwriting some client stuff.

I love both projects, they are cool and necessary, but they seem still in the experimental phase and are not ready for someone who needs a tool immediately ready for use, and it's not primary interested in exploring a new protocol.
I just opened them again after a few days, and I cannot browse anything, 3 of 4 groups don't load and are empty for me (like the two links you shared), I got connection errors... it's a little mess. I'm doing something wrong? Idk.
Btw, some suggestions:
These clients should have a clean "Create your group" landing that doesn't expose random servers/groups but just lets the user create a new space by picking a public relay, or entering a personal one. Some basic information about features and Nostr itself, and a link to a how-to article, would be great, too.
The actual app's interface should be designed first for a *single* space, allowing the user to explore the advanced features (searching groups on the networks, creating their own group) with a progressive discovery pattern. This limits confusion and errors, and most importantly, it gives the impression, both to the group owner and their users, to have a real *personal* and confined space, like they are used in the current website/forum paradigm, even if they are guests in a public server.
Then, for this last reason, it would be really useful to have an advanced guide to set up a personal relay *and* a personal frontend client; the latter should have the option to be graphically themed, to selectively enable specific features/areas (rooms, posts, pools, calendar, ...) and to hide all the other servers/groups stuff.
Users will then find out that they can easily switch clients, discover Nostr interoperability magic, and so contribute to the growth of the network/protocol.

Oracolo supports kind:20 "olas" images. If you want a pictures feed, this is what you should use. You can post them with Amethyst from the central tab.
I know it's a pain for who is used to use kind:1 notes for images, but I cannot see any other robust solutions in the long term.
PS: @nprofile…pyug I think many users are not using kind:20 because it has a smaller reach; maybe including it somehow on the main feed, and move also the post option, could help the transaction.

The project is fascinating. But. If I can be completely honest, I think that the main problem here is that the communication is unoptimized, if I may put it mildly.
I am quite interested in books and reading, one of the first features I added to njump is a print/pdf friendly rendering to be able to read long formats on my reader, but in the beginning I also had some difficulties understanding what you were developing.
Just starting with the brand/domain: it contains "gitcitadel" and "alexandria", both the subdomain and the domain contain the same app with no notable differences. This alone is really confusing. What's the project name?
As a side note, Alexandria is probably a too common name, it will be really difficult to find it without a "nostr" companion search term.
Going on, the app itself is a little confusing for a newcomer, it seems just a long-form reader like Habla, it has this weird hover effect on every part on which I cannot interact with (I know you will fix it), but nothing specific to ebooks. Where is the index? The chapters? And mainly, how can I read this stuff on my ebook reader?
The homepage itself has no information, no roadmap, nothing. It should at least shout “books”! The About page is really minimal, and it points to github instead taking the opportunity to use the tool itself to explain its purpose. There is no way to easily find the npub of the project's developers.
I think you should invest a little energy on fixing the brand/domain part and building a good homepage that is really explicative and communicates the project strengths. This is usually useful as a team exercise to review the strategies, goals and priorities.

To create a FROST bunkers you do *not* need to migrate to a new npub, existent users can have a FROST bunker, simply we don't have a easy UI to do that (it is in progress right now).
When users will start pasting FROST bunkers around, instead of their nsec, the leak problem will be largely solved, and so all this key rotation fear.
I don't see any muddy water here. And FROST is complex, but its complexity seems applied on the "right" part of the system, causing little troubles to other parts.
