I lead the educational project #Attakai which focuses on pleb heat-mining by modifying an S9
We would love to use your mining pool but because we use the S9 as a heater we’ve got special needs, we don’t mine 100% of the time
If we stop mining do the Shares In Reward Window retain its value?

La rentabilité du projet #Attakai est une question récurrente, y répondre est complexe, car elle ne se limite pas à l'aspect économique, mais implique une part importante de subjectivité. De plus, l'industrie du minage de Bitcoin est soumise à de nombreuses fluctuations 🧵👇
Je pense qu'il faut commencer par définir ce qu'est la rentabilité, qui pour moi ne s'arrête pas à l'aspect monétaire. Vous n'êtes pas obligé d'être d'accord avec moi, ce n'est que mon point de vue 👀
« La rentabilité est le ratio entre la totalité de ce que l'on investit (coûts, efforts, ressources) et la totalité de ce que l'on obtient (gains, bénéfices, avantages) ». 📋  Si vous êtes d'accord avec cette définition, alors on peut essayer de l'appliquer ensemble au projet #Attakai

Recently, Apple blocked zaps on post in iOS
I just discovered that @npub1n0s…k6h0 found a clever bypass ⚡️
Go to Settings then “button configurator” and add the symbol “⚡️”

Pour vous aider à faire le bon choix, voici un exemple sur cet hiver :
Si l'on estime le hashrate de Bitcoin à 500 EH/s et la récompense à 7,5 BTC/bloc, alors les mineurs auront environ 9 Sats/THs/Heure
Si votre #Attakai fonctionne à 800 W, soit 10 TH/s, en moyenne 5 heures par jour pendant 4 mois,
9 Sats x 10 TH/s x 5 heures x 120 jours = 54 000 Sats
Dans ce cas précis pourrez retirer vos Sats avec NiceHash après 12 heures de fonctionnement, et avec Lincoin, vous devrez attendre le deuxième hiver

Il existe 2 modèles principaux de rémunération entre la pool et les participants:
1/ Quand la pool valide un bloc elle rémunère chacun à la hauteur de sa participation au moment ou le bloc est trouvé
Pas de bloc, pas de Sats
2/ La pool rémunère tout le monde pour sa participation en temps réel, peu importe qu'un bloc soit trouvé ou non. La pool avance les frais dans l'espoir qu'un bloc soit trouvé.
Si l'on souhaite se chauffer avec son mineur, il est donc peu probable qu'il soit allumé 24/24. Ainsi, dans le projet #Attakai, on s'intéressera plutôt au deuxième modèle, et plus particulièrement au FPPS (Full Pay Per Share)
Le FPPS prend en compte les frais de transaction, contrairement au PPS qui prend seulement en compte la récompense de bloc.
En début d'année 2023, avec les ordinals, les frais de transactions étaient parfois supérieurs à la récompense de bloc

I just wrote my ⚡️ address on a NFC tag using the NFC Tools app. The memory on the tag is limited, so I haven't been able to try it with an LNURL invoice yet. It requires around 300 bytes. However, it should work perfectly with a Point of Sale system using an NFC dongle
