Lol. My dad used to always says "this family ain't a democracy!" And would say basically this.
"Communalism" only works well in very small dunbar levels where deep relationships and commitment to each other is already in place. Like the early church in the book of Acts giving their land and wealth to the church for the care of the local poor and families, breaking bread together, and "having everything in common"
Terrible for a city or state level government structure though. Even in the early church people died for lying and behaving dishonorably towards that level of relational intimacy / commitment (just as my dad would have beaten my ass if I didn't put my mom first in food or comfort / well being within our family unit)

One of the few places it *does* make sense is illiquid community stewarded assets, like land used for large agriculture operations where there is a village of families living there that want the land to be managed and used in a way that is to their best interest but want to be able to float value between families as they come and go or need to scale up or down in holdings among each other

This would help too. Because the second someone who is a high value follower ranked you as high value then you would start getting seen and followed by others. Also you would only need to follow a couple high value people then start following things they are interacting with

Right now "economic martyrs" are a problem too. People trying to take stands to fix the world in various key arenas can't compete with cantillonaire money / the narrative and enforcement machine. This is anywhere from medical, to farming, to tech development, and much more

Social capital has been used historically for things like this and it is good enforcement for large and stable units of society (not vagrant people drifting from place to place though.. which is sadly most people now)
Our ranch is a recognized industry leader in regenerative agriculture and one of the biggest UHDG ranches in the US. We aren't going anywhere and are literally tied to our soil in a known location, which means we have to continuously protect trust and do things right

The herdshare reports show how many herdshare claims there are & we are moving towards a nym based contact info system where herdshare owners can talk to each other to verify that the herdshare claims data is accurate but do so without doxxing themselves. We digitally track all the cattle and people can visit the ranch to verify physical herd numbers
But ultimately it is a collaborative system and collaborative systems require some trust. All business requires some trust, and the larger the coordination and longer the time horizons the more it requires. Only Bitcoin is truly trust minimized
