Mandela Effect - Fruit of the Loom
There's a phenomenon in which many people remember something but documents generally or universally indicate something else.
For example, many people remember that Nelson Mandela died in prison and were surprised when he went on to be released and become president of South Africa.
Many of these can be explained as people applying normal rules of language to unusual cases, such as "Fruit Loops" vs "Froot Loops". Others legitimately occurred in both forms such as the "Berenstein Bears" and the "Berenstain Bears". Finally some like the Mandela case or the film Shazam probably reflect different events around the same time being mistakenly conflated.
One of the more puzzling and surprising ones for me was Fruit of the Loom. The modern logo is some fruit and leaves without any basket or horn of plenty, and the company claims it has always been this way.
Many people remember learning what a cornucopia was from the Fruit of the Loom logo. A 1970s musical album called Flute of the Loom features a flute shaped like a giant cornucopia and the illustrator has confirmed this was to imitate the underwear logo's cornucopia. A Forbes article on how Fruit of the Loom was using the early internet to manage its supply chain references the brand's "well-known cornucopia". Confusingly, no photographs seem to exist showing this version of the logo.
I happened to be looking into this today and realized that Fruit of the Loom has not only changed ownership multiple times, but it has also licensed the brand to outside third parties such as Union Underwear Company.
Some investigators posit that a knockoff brand featured the cornucopia, but this doesn't explain how it could become well-known in the United States as the official logo of Fruit of the Loom. I suspect that some third party (probably Union) had their own version of the logo on packaging, while using the official version on the underwear itself. Since very little underwear packaging from decades ago survives to this day (even if some garments do) this would lead to many people seeing the cornucopia version of the logo but very few (if any) physical copies surviving.

This is (kind of) fine, actually. Savings accounts are not available for immediate redemption. It's banks that write loans from *checking* accounts who are engaged in pure fractional-reserve banking.
There *is* a problem with writing loans from savings accounts whose duration exceeds the source funds, but that problem exists for almost all current bank lending. Banks can get funds from relatively short-term bonds, CDs or "overnight" borrowing and turn around and lend that "money" out for many years.
Moreover, the central bank is the "lender of last resort" that exists to bail out the commercial banks when their depositors demand their "money" back. Without that backstop we'd have one financial crash and everyone would figure out to put deposits in solvent banks instead of insolvent ones.
I think the solution is to return to free banking (ie banks are subject to the same regulations and bankruptcy proceedings as anyone else) and return to directors of corporations being liable for the obligations of the corporation to the limit of their personal fortunes.

However, the point of judge's opinion is not to win over the "defeated" party by force of reason, but to win over the majority of those in the community by force of reason (especially the majority of those capable of taking arms).
The idea (from my perspective) is that the judge convinces more or less everyone that a certain situation should be handled in a certain way, and thanks to this consensus the "defeated" party is obliged to acquiesce.
Right now, State officials are able to implement arbitrary regulations and taxes because the public is resigned to it, and the public sees these measures as representative of a consensus that they cannot personally oppose even if it is somehow unjust. As dictatorial "law" progresses that consensus unravels.

An example I've given before is wave-particle duality. In a famous series of experiments, light was projected through a number of slits cut into a material.

The modern orthodox conclusion is that light is both a wave and a particle.

I think Bitcoin enthusiasm has tamped down somewhat as compared to the run up from the teens to 70ish. If that's all you were here for I can see why you'd be disappointed. For me nostr is as good or better than ever. The Fed is paying out more in bank interest than it receives on its portfolio of treasuries and mortgage-backed securities.
Rather than admit their equity position has been wiped out and they are insolvent, they re-defined the accounting standards from GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) to FRAP (federal reserve accounting principles).
