Agreed. It appears like since 2008 we've entered the new era of finance where nothing fails and number always go up.
There is no problem that can't be solved through debasement and no amount that can't be printed. A societal net decrease in wealth has been chosen as favorable to an ethical, rational system of free markets.
Agree with the thesis. And will be interesting to watch it play out.

VC backed firms will need to compete and don't control your data. It's fairly trivial to jump to another client and I think this removes a lot of the problems found on other platforms.
I think all products and businesses add to the Nostr ecosystem, including those that are VC backed.

We both still ate meat, but we ate a lot of the junk food also. We weren't fully aware of how Type 2 Diabetes worked and unfortunately most doctors give terrible advice which makes the T2D worse and not better. So once we realized that was the CKD cause and were able to reverse T2D then the CKD started to fix itself as well. All super interesting stuff that the carnivore diet helps with a ton.

My spouse was late stage CKD and we made the move to mostly carnivore and kidneys have improved greatly with symptoms basically gone. So there is always hope outside the system as well 😊

I second this. An infection to the bone is very serious and they often need to remove the bone. If it's been going on for more than a few days you should get it checked out.

Are you diabetic? Infections are much worse for pre/diabetics. Sounds like possible arthritis or gout. Is it new or ongoing? There are lots of dietary things you can do to help with infections, joint pain, etc. but if it's relatively new and not chronic I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Proof of Joy is the spiritual version of Proof of Work.
My favorite quote from Abraham Hicks is:
"The basis of life is freedom.
The purpose of life is joy.
The result of life is expansion."
This sums up life perfectly and succinctly.
We're here to have joy. Not to struggle. Not to learn lessons. Not because it's a school. Not to be tested. Not to please some God or human. We can do that. And some of us may even find joy in that. But that's not the sole purpose.
We are all Gods. And we are all here with infinite freedom and power to create and experience our own versions of joy in the way that we want.
We live in an expansion-based universe that gives us more of what we put energy on. The more we focus on what we want the more of it we get. The more we focus on what we don't want the more of that we get too. The universe doesn't take sides. It's all energy. And it responds and magnetizes around our focus.
It feels good to have joy and the better we feel the more momentum we build towards the things we want. And the more momentum towards the things we want the more that momentum grows and brings in new connections and people who also share a similar focus. It snowballs on itself and grows at an increasing rate.
Most importantly, how we feel is a choice. It's something we all have complete power over at anytime no matter the external conditions or people involved. We can choose to feel good in any moment and in any situation. It may be challenging and hard to accept in certain situations, but no person or thing can determine how we choose to feel at any moment.
So with this understanding I propose that Proof of Joy is the spiritual version of Proof of Work. Beyond #Bitcoin and work exists an even more foundational and elegant reality: Proof of Joy. That is, the ability to live in the present moment of now in peace, harmony and joy with an appreciation for what is and an eagerness for what is to come.
