It’s been raining a lot the past few days. All the plants look fresh and happy, especially the Italian basil. I snipped a few sprigs to add to the marinara sauce, then simply stuck them back in the pot. With all this rain, they’ll grow back in no time. It’s raining again now—a perfect lazy day for the girls. The kitchen smells so good, with tomato sauce gently bubbling and the scent of freshly picked basil in the air.
