I have had this idea circulating in my head for the past week. The use of geolocalization data from btcmaps together with Nostr profile of the places with a link to wallets for zaps. Picture this:
- a Pokémon GO style AR application that you see the places that use Bitcoin and instead of throwing poke balls you zap them sats (you would literally see a lightning bolt firing)
-going a high altitude place like a skyscraper view and seeing the places that use Bitcoin in the city .
-You could comission 3D assets on the Nostr networks that you want to develop to use on this AR view of zapping. The assets are worthless (like any NFT) but the work to make them is added value that can be paid.
Like petermccormack (npub14mc…frlx) having a huge skull and bones comissioned that you could see in the app on top of his stadium that anyone could click and zap the skull it would send sats to the club and the skull would perform an animation when zapped. Or if they win the cup people would see fireworks on top of the stadium and music playing.
-You could have a speakeasy hidden pub in London that to open the door you had to zap them but you could see it in the geoapp the door.
Or a door inside a pub that only opens if you zap it. You could call it the Bitcoin gentleman’s club. The League of Satoshi.
Everybody wondering how did you do that or how does someone go to the back door and forcing new people to zap.
You are on a marathon and have a tracking gps linked with a Nostr profile and a wallet I could see you marked on AR and zap you.
Anyway I think the thing to Bitcoin to the masses now is to make fun stuff to get people engaged.
The first world tournament of making people accept Bitcoin on their establishment.
Having a waze kind of app where you can link Nostr profiles and who adds new places gets points you can unlock skins for the app like golden map and such, cosmetics, have a leaderboard. And have an event where one week of the year everybody can sign up and the country who converts most places to accept Bitcoin wins.
Just some stupids ideas that came to my head but maybe this btcmap interests me.
