I am sure the Ditto (nprofile…jvlx) features are a work-in-progress, and what you are pointing out is great feedback for them. I agree, there's still so much to build that would encourage that community feeling... from channels, to calendar events, and other widgets. What would you most love to see?
Now, it is software that can be customized, it includes some moderation features, badges, NIP-05, and I'm running it on my own server and domain, which is a different way of implementing nostr. It is an additional door for nostr access.
