Untraceable is #privacy
David Chaum's 1983 paper "Blind Signatures for Untraceable Payments" introduced the concept of untraceable payments.
The paper proposed a cryptographic protocol that allowed a user to obtain a signature from a bank on a message without revealing the content of the message to the bank.
This signature could then be used to prove to a third party that the user had made a payment without revealing any information about the payer or payee.
David Chaum is an American computer scientist, cryptographer, and inventor, widely recognized as the inventor of digital cash.
He is known as a pioneer in cryptography and privacy-preserving technologies, and has made fundamental innovations in cryptography, including privacy technologies such as mix nets and secure voting systems.
