Sometimes it's something that the user felt strongly about and didn't feel it got enough eyes on it. Other times it could actually be something important like a question or information about a topic that the user thinks is important that it be seen by as many as possible. Others just like to get interactions on their posts. I don't see anything wrong with any of these things to a certain extent. If it's more than 12 hours old, I think nothing of it. If it's constantly posts that are VERY recent, I'll just hide boosts. I do this all the time for older posts and never gotten any negative feedback on it.🤷‍♂️
