Same for magazines. I tried subscribing to Wilson Quarterly, (a magazine) in ~2007 because I like the form factor better than a screen and immediately had my physical mailbox fill up with spam for other magazines one might expect a Wilson Quarterly subscriber to read as well as charities one might expect a Wilson Quarterly reader to donate to.
I haven't subscribed to a magazine since then, which is too bad, since I still prefer the form factor, but it's not worth a decade of physical spam.
