Richard Hammond was in an induced coma for 3 weeks after his Top Gear accident in 2006 but came back and just got on with things
Freddie Flintoff had a bad accident while filming Top Gear but has now 'reached a settlement' for £9,000,000 with the BBC (i.e. we pay) and there is talk about cancelling Top Gear entirely (not that it's a great loss now)
Can't help that says a lot about the change in attitudes over the last 20 years
