I do believe that people like us ***must*** be able to achieve a healthy level of masking and realness. Surely, that is how most creative people survive? They build a mask, and, hopefully are rewarded enough financially that they can build the mask large enough to live in, to cocoon and create from.
But it’s that ALL OR NOTHING mindset, perhaps a quest for purity - and I don’t think I’m alone in being prone - that undermines and self-sabotages me.
