:ihavenomouth: (nprofile…ktpc) well see that's what I was confused about. My first thought was to query alignment requirements for different types and then use those alignments in Sib allocations.
However, what I don't know and couldn't find any info on is if buffers themselves had the same alignment requirements as suballocations from buffers. You would think that would be the case but I can't find it in the spec and I found at least one post citing failure to render correctly when attempting this (but who knows if he did something else wrong)
