I agree that people who are healthier etc do better against COVID and the flu etc, but you're not explaining the increase or now the decrease in deadliness, compared to the flu. what predicted all that and this is the normal pattern of new viruses, that the bad ones start out more dangerous but evolve (as predicted by natural selection) to live in more people but not kill as many of their hosts.
