I like the idea of having a site that shows my #nostr profile and provide people with a "open with" option and a selection of sites/app to open my profile in, however, the way that its done now is definitely not optimized for nostr.
Considering that there's always new clients being released, it's unrealistic to expect the devs of said site to constantly maintain support for a constantly growing list of clients.
There needs to be a new way to go about this. I'm thinking of two methods (can be both actually):
1. Manually: The "open with/on" would be a text field and the user adds the correct site url (the user would need to know what comes after .com like .com/profile , or... etc). If its a mobile app, then toggle "app" and type in the app name.
2. A new nip would be used where every client dev would publish their correct URL or app-address, along with any other relevant info, and relays would hold that info, in which case users would just start typing in the "open with" search field and the real-time search results would appear, then they'd select it.
