I love how they're like "Oh it's clarifying!" but already made one concession on install fees, which like, jesus christ you can't predict what players are gonna do and now is also enforcing tracking on your players?? I'm not even a game dev and I'm pissed that all the Unity-based games I play might have to track me now?? What about web-based Unity shit that's free, like the Beat Saber map and replay player that BeatSaver uses?
This is a successful, profitable company trying to skim even more off the top and getting bitten hard for it. They're not the only option and will find out that's the case, as fucked up as that may be.
