Let's be honest, NIP-05 is a scam.
Outside of jb55's contribution of relay management, the only use case for this goofy checkmark is on legacy nostr and even then it holds no weight. You might argue it's cheap but not to the poorest people in the world. Nostr should be free and for everyone. 'pay to win' mechanics should be frowned upon if you truly believe in Libre/FOSS.
