Hey, Knitters!
Has anyone made a jumper/cardigan from Shetland wool? What was it like?
I want to make a black and white cardigan from undyed handspun yarn. I usually spin Corriedale, because I know it will knit up soft and squishy, but Corriedale sheep appear to only come in white, grey and brown. Colour wise, Shetland looks like a good bet, but I don't want to buy and spin a kilo only to find it's itchy or scratchy.
So, how did you find Shetland if you've used it, or are there any other breeds I should be looking at for black and white wool?
