Cigars allegedly don't hit the same. I've never smoked cigarettes, but I do know that I can skip cigars for a while without any cravings. I find that there's no stimulant effect for me; rather, it's more relaxing. I've read that this is all due to absorbing nicotine through the mouth vs. the lungs. The social and ritual aspect of cigars can be somewhat addictive, I think. Pipes have been the same as cigars, but much more...zen.
Coffee, on the other hand, is quite the ride.
