Polish composer and pianist Frédéric Chopin was born #OTD in 1810.
All of Chopin's compositions feature the piano. These works include mazurkas, waltzes, nocturnes, polonaises, the instrumental ballade, études, impromptus, scherzi, preludes, and sonatas, some published only posthumously. Recognized as one of the greatest composers of the Romantic period, Frédéric Chopin is also one of the most famous pianists of the 19th century.
