So unless Renfe ordered more trains, it's never going to be capable of running a solid service to London - because it simply has too few trains. You'd not go to the administrative hassle for 3 return trips a day, which is the amount they could run with this tiny fleet.
But as the 106 series is obviously a problem, I'd doubt whether Renfe would want to order more of them from here.
