They tell you stop and smell the roses, but never mean that literally. But also, if you see flowers at sniffing height, and you recognize them and know you're not allergic, go for it. Sniffed of the Viburnum outside one of my school's buildings while walking past, and it made my actually quite mopey afternoon a little bit better.
