This is both the strength and the weakness of our generation. Society needed radical acceptance to put away the denial that shrouded society in decades previous, denial of the ills that existed all around us. No more lies, no more fronting, just get it out there, we can take it.

But that left us with the downsides of acceptance: we didn't do much else to stop those ills.

Though shining a light and winning the moral right to authenticity, preferenced over appearances, was itself a major accomplishment.
