Not sure if you know of Haven, which is OpenBazaar mobile app, but it was a similar concept as here with p2p chat / notes / broadcasting, though based off IPFS.
It had built-in noncustodial wallets (had shitcoins too sadly) connected to Blockbook instances. See https://github.com/OpenBazaar/haven.
