Legacy social media will either integrate a decentralized protocol like Nostr or fade.

Platforms or clients that haven’t integrated a Nostr-esque protocol are walled gardens that will be further encouraged by state authorities to censor.

Not only is a decentralized protocol like this freedom and self sovereignty to users, but they offer platforms footing when they argue that they are detached from their content.

Will any legacy social media platform be first to integrate an open social protocol alongside their existing users and content? I think if it were anyone it would be X, but I don’t see it boosting their earnings, just other social benefits.
