Dismantled the tower fan to clean it.
Mistakes were made.
1. I'm very allergic to dust
2. I started cleaning it inside. In the study. An enclosed space.
3. I took it outside, where the gentle breeze could whip the dust around me instead, and the dog could sit at my ankles while I cleaned.
The dog is now sneezing too (I am also allergic to the dog).
The tower fan blade is a sealed unit, and so while I was able to clean the blades, it now contains a giant dustbunny. At least it cannot escape and wreak havoc.
