Visited Dad at the nursing home this afternoon and thankfully there have been no more covid cases after the first one a few days ago and hopefully in a few more days things will be back to normal. Thankfully Dad is unaware and just accepts that people are wearing masks without worrying about it.

The best news though is that he finally has his appetite back. He has always greatly enjoyed good food but after 6 weeks in hospital he could no longer feed himself and it was struggle to get him to eat anything. Now he is tucking into meals and loving the treats and snacks we take in. There is so little that he can enjoy that it is great that he is once again relishing tasty food. I have also smuggled a cruet set into his room so that when we are there we can add extra salt to his food. He loves his salt and given he is now living beyond when the doctors said he was dying I think he should have whatever he wants. He also likes that we are being sneaky. I don't think that the staff would object. It is just nice to have some fun with it.
