About the relational DB case, what format are you thinking about? Because I would like a format that not only store the data but also the "views" (for example giving to a query a name and visualization properties to reuse it across applications) and functions (like sum of a column elements).
About the canvas, Obsidian published its spec too. I also like Tldraw format but both are too specific and not a generic spec for all the use cases. That's why Logseq has its own.
