in the mid 70s my ex bought a rusted out humber super snipe for $100 and a basket of prawns. no roadworthy, obvs, but in small towns we could once do what we liked.
how much neglect would it take to destroy a humber ss? all the leather upholstery had cracked and the stitching was gone. i drove it to the beach with dogs and didn’t worry when they clambered in wet to go home. it was a reliable workhorse. people used to laugh about the humber on the highway with no driver (i’m very short)
