utopiArte (nprofileā¦dzkq) Public search is enabled on forum.friendi.ca. I guess, the theme simply doesn't show the search box for visitors.
For remote authentication (a.k.a. magic auth) you need to go to the group/forum by a so called redir link. I don't know if these links still exist in the current Friendica version. Let me have a look...
